“PROMISE”

            Love is loyalty. Dan, a man full of love for her one and only fDancé that died, had a story different than that of others'.

            His story starts this way. He was walking along the street near his parents' house and while walking, he heard a noise of a woman crying, he then went near the bushes where he thought the noise was coming from. He was shocked to see a woman full of bruises, he helped the woman sat on the bench and cured her, and then he asked, “What happened to you miss?” “Oh nothing, I was just walking by when I tripped along the street”, said the woman then ran away, looking too scared. Dan asked himself how the woman got too much bruises though she just tripped and ran away feeling scared. Strange.

           

            The next day, the woman was standing in a corner of the street when Dan saw her. He stopped and stared at her for a moment knowing that she was really gorgeous. She's flawless, beautiful; she had a long curly black hair. She was so cute especially when she's smiling; Dan then had a crush on her. He wanted to talk to her so he went towards her but the woman seems to be so shy when she saw that a man was walking towards her, she looks like a good lady but she's not into people and was actually afraid of them so she ran away from Dan again. Dan, wanting to know what her name is, followed her.

             He saw her house; it was beautiful it seems like a palace with a Princess living in it. He looked at the house, went inside then searched for the woman, he saw her inside her bedroom then suddenly, a quick slapped in her face followed. Dan was behind the door when he saw a man. That man slapped her, and Dan didn’t know why. That man was actually her father, but why would a father slap her daughter in her face when she didn't do anything wrong. Dan saw how that man abuses her daughter in a strict and careless way. Dan saw the whole thing and wanted to help her. The woman saw Dan and shouted, “What are you doing here? Go home, run away!” the man saw Dan and walks towards him with an angry face. Dan then ran as fast as he could towards his house then never saw the man again.

            That day was not good, Dan felt pity for his crush and curious about anything. The next day, He saw the woman again, full of bruises but was still pretty with a smile while she was looking around the surroundings. Dan walked towards her, the woman wanted to run again, but Dan stopped her, he held her hands gently then let her sit. They talked to each other. That was the time when he asked for her name. Her name’s Rachelle Angela but she prefers to be called “Rachelle”, no wonder why she's so pretty. She looks like an Angel. Dan introduced himself. That was also the time when Dan knew why her father abuses her too much. “ My mother was really beautiful, loving, caring and was so good to people, but she died after giving birth to me, my father loved her so much and doesn't want to let go of her, she was his whole life and when she died, Dad's colourful world turned into a nightmare and he was blaming me for that, that's why until now, he keeps on abusing me, it hurts but I still love him, he told me not to talk to people, that's why I'm running away, but it seems like you're a good person so I decided to talk to you”, said Rachelle with a teardrop falling down her cheeks. Dan felt so pity for her and told her to report it to the police but Rachelle insisted that she loves her father so much and she doesn't want to do anything that would harm her father. Dan respected that.

            Curiosity came on Dan's mind, he asked Rachelle if she once had a boyfriend before, and she said “no”, Dan smiled and asked her crush why. “I don't know, I still couldn't find the right man for me I guess, besides, my father does not want anyone, and I respect that”, said Rachelle. Dan then looks at her face knowing how pretty she actually is when she's closer to him. Rachelle blushed when she saw Dan looking at her. Why wouldn't she? I mean Dan was also handsome, caring, understanding, and is such a gentleman, that's why many girls like him, but Dan still became humble to everyone and treats everybody in their town as his family. Dan didn't have a girlfriend before and as a narrator, well I can say that this was the first time he had a crush on a pretty and good girl. Their conversation ended well. And that was a bluRachelleg day for both of them.

            Everyday, they see each other in the same place on the same street then talks to each other. Rachelle fell in love with Dan and Dan's crush for Rachelle became stronger like he fell in love with her too.

            Days have passed but they still hid their feelings for each other. One day, while they were talking, Dan confessed to Rachelle his feelings for her. Rachelle said that she felt the same way too. That was the best day for them, know what? They were together now as in “Bf and Gf relationship”. They let their love bloom and they promised to each other that that love will never die. Dan also told a joke that he'll die in the age of 100, which is impossible these days and will still love Rachelle forever and ever.

            Rachelle's father, Oscar knew about their relationship and he was so angry. He abused Rachelle again. Rachelle was so pitiful; she was locked in her own bedroom without any food offered to her by her father.

            Many days had passed by and Dan was curious about what's happening to Rachelle. He went to her house and climbed up to Rachelle's bedroom. He opened the window and saw her lying on the floor, full of bruises and blood. Dan had teardrops flowing from his eyes when he saw Rachelle, he then hugged Rachelle and kissed her. He told her that he'll have his revenge. But Rachelle stopped her and said that she loves her father so much. Rachelle really is a perfect woman. Dan was so lucky to have her. After that he asked her to go with him and leave Oscar, Rachelle's father all alone. Dan asked Rachelle to go with her so that they can live together without her father abusing her. Rachelle agreed, Dan went home to get her things packed and told Rachelle that he'll go back tomorrow morning before the sun rises.

            When Dan went home, Rachelle felt too much pain in her stomach, it was so painful that she felt like she's going to vomit so she went to the C.R. in her bedroom and vomited, that was the time when she knew that she was pregnant, but suddenly his father got inside  her room and saw her vomiting, his father seems to be drunk, he abused her again, but this time it was more violently done, he punched her in the face, slapped her, kicked her, threw her towards the wall, and the finiRachelleg touch was when he punched her so hard in her stomach. Poor Rachelle didn't move but still breathes, she begs for Oscar to stop.

            Oscar stopped and was shocked when he saw blood flowing from Rachelle's legs. “ Dad, I love you so much, please stop this, don't hurt my baby too, please dad, I beg you. Just hurt me but not my baby, please. Dad, my stomach hurts, what's happening? Is my baby hurt too?” said Rachelle while crying. Her father felt pity for her daughter and her baby, but it was all too late, Rachelle was dying with too much pain. Oscar cried and cried and realized that it was all his fault. He called Dan that time.

            When Dan arrived, he saw Rachelle lying; he hugged her tight and begged for her not to leave him. Rachelle, with a very soft voice and was dying, told him that they have a child, Dan was so happy but he shocked when he saw some blood on her legs and felt so angry. He wanted to hurt Oscar but Rachelle won't let him.

            He felt so pity for his girlfriend and their child. “Please Rachelle, I love you with all my heart, I'll die if you leave me alone, I love you and our child.” said Dan. “ I love you too Dan, I'm sorry, I didn't take care of our little angel, but please don't say that you'll die, she will be with me , we will be fine together ,” she whispered,” I.......l..o...v...e....y...o...u. -------.” said Rachelle then. After saying her last words, she then died that time.

            Dan was so depressed he cried and cried after that day. Oscar lost his mind and he was put into mental hospital after that incident.

            Dan continued loving Rachelle and their child named Angel.

            Dan is now 99 years old, and he's dying. Today’s the day before his birthday, and he waits for midnight to come for him to be 100 years old. Then he'll be able to leave this world, Rest in Peace and see Rachelle and their angel in heaven again... :)
